A member asked:

If u have hep b or c contaminated blood on hands, and you sumply wash with water is it enough or soap is the must? soaps are antibacterial not anti viral.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

We use what we have: If we have plain soap and water, that's perfectly fine for typical situations such a home situation. Washing with plain soap and water is an anti-dirt, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic process because washing with soap and water washes away all that stuff that is on the surface of hands. Avoid overwashing. Overwashing damages skin, which microbes can later get through.
