Depends: there are benign moles with specks, and there are melanomas with specks. I always say: "when in doubt, cut it out"...go have it looked at, a biopsy would stop your worries. A regular primary care provider: PA, NP, MD, D.O. can do a skin biopsy. you don't need to see a dermatologist. Just call and make sure they have the time and equipment
