A member asked:

I currently take 2 claritins a day to deal with my symptoms from my nonallergic rhinitis and a minor dust/dustmite allergy. is there something else i can take instead that would be less medication on a daily basis?

Maybe: That dose is actually double the recommended dose as Claritin lasts 24 hours. If you feel you need a high dose to control symtpoms, consider an alternative. Zyrtec/Cetirizine once a day may be more effective. Alternatively, an anti-histamine or steroid nasal spray once a day may be more effective. Treatment is empiric: you have to try different options to see what works best for you.
