Nerve pain?: If this pain is only on one side of your body, it could be an early sign of shingles (Herpes zoster) even though you do not have a rash present. This disease causes burning pain & hypersensitivity to touch & pain can precede rash by2-3 days in some cases. Notify your Dr immediately if a rash develops so they can prescribe anti viral medication which usually prevents long term nerve pain
