Temporary: immunity could possibly be gained in this manner, usually lasts about six months. The actual virus or a portion of the virus would be likely needed in vaccine form to trigger a more lasting immunity.

Plasma: Whole Blood transfusions require both the recipient and the donor to be the same bloodtype. Plasma (which is the blood minus the cells) is currently being used in trials against Covid to test if there the viral infection is reduced by the immune components found in the recovered persons plasma. As soon as there is a positive response in enough people using plasma, it can be considered by the FDA.
