Urticaria treatment: Urticaria is a hypersensitivity reaction to some kind of trigger, such as certain foods, contact with chemicals, metals, allergens in general, bites from insects etc. Cetirizine is a good medication and helps as anti-histamine (anti-allergic). Sometimes it may not be enough and may need further evaluation by your PCP for different medications. These may include steroids if symptoms are severe.
