Reflux/ Foreign body: If something is stuck in your esophagus or just above it, it would be dislodged by eating something. Have you eaten anything since this started. If it went down easily there is probably no obstruction. Could also be Gastroesophageal Reflux which happens when acidic contents of your stomach back up into the back of your throat, causing inflammation. Use TUMS, Pepcid and similar antiacid medication
