I have an irritable throat last 2 weeks. i am not coughing - but when i clear my throat its productive. i havent checked my temperature but it doesnt feel like i have a fever. should i be seeing a dr?

Recommended: If you have a sore throat lasting 2 weeks and have discolored mucus when you expectorate, you are beyond the duration of a simple viral upper respiratory tract infection. I recommend having an examination by a physician as well as a throat culture. Absence of fever and cough is reassuring that it's not a serious infection. Have you been exposed to anyone with a serious infection? If so, notify MD
