Bad technique?: 34 degrees C (93 degrees F) would be very unusual as an oral temperature under typical circumstances. A thermometer might give a false low reading after drinking something cold. If electronic, keep the tip under the tongue and mouth closed for 60 sec before starting the measurement timer, see if you get a different reading. Repeat again 30 min later, without drinking or eating anything before.
