Can adco-mefenafic be given to my child -1y9m instead of stilpane after a tonsillectomy on 24 march. she seems to be in worse pain. i made contact with the ent whom advised ice. but she doesn't want to consume anything?

Acetaminophen best : Mefenamic acid, an anti inflammatory drug, is not recommended in young children , though ibuprofen might help. Acetaminophen is safer. Cool liquids, popsicles , or slightly warm clear soups may help, but call ENT back if child persists in refusing anything by mouth- could lead to dehydration especially in a child this young
