Medications help: A person who has suicidal ideations (thoughts or plans), gestures, or attempts needs evaluation and treatment right away. The recommended way to get treatment is to visit an emergency room, by ambulance or by having a companion drive. In the US, the emergency phone number for an ambulance is 911. One can also find suicide prevention hotline numbers online, for his or her local area.

SUICIDE PREVENTION: If you have a plan & intend to act on it get help immediately - call an ambulance or have someone take you to the emergency room. If you have thoughts but not a plan consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help you overcome these thoughts. Medication can also help prescribed by a Psychiatrist. First have a complete physical exam by a Dr. to rule out underlying biological causes.
