With braces: An orthodontist can help. One's regular dentist may be able to help, as some orthodontic braces are available without seeing an orthodontic specialist. Usually, all the teeth are taken into consideration, not just the front ones that are more noticeable. It's fine to get a couple of opinions from 2 dental practitioners.

Malocclusion: The best thing you can do is see a qualified Orthodontic Specialist for an initial examination (usually free) to determine the extent of your problem and your treatment alternatives. Although some General Dentists do Orthodontic treatment (at about the same fee level as specialists), they don't have the same level of training and experience. And the smile shops are, for many people, dangerous.
