A member asked:

My top lip covers most of my top teeth when smiling and when i talk you mostly see bottom teeth or barely teeth at all so i wanted to know if there was a way to fix this other than a lip lift. i have braces right now so id like to know if they can?

I recommend asking your orthodontist to refer you to an appropriate, experienced specialist who deals with such cases.

Possible that upper upper front teeth can be slightly extruded, lower front teeth slightly intruded, depending on the parameters of your malocclusion. Ask your Orthodontist for referral to an Oral and Maxilo-facial Surgeon for available surgical options.

You have a low lip line vs a high lip line when you smile. You are well within normal limits. Your desired smile may require repositioning your maxilla, a major surgical procedure.
