Sinus vs ear infect: Based on what you are describing, sinus or middle ear infection most likely. Vast majority are caused by virus and symptom treatment with anti-inflammatory for pain and fever (if you are safe to take them) and time (7-10 days) will resolve most of these infections. If symptoms do not improve after 7-10 days or get progressively worse, should see your medical provider. Hope this was helpful. Dr R
