I recently traveled to the states via dubai, i returned to south africa on the 2nd march 2020. i would like to be tested, my family and i are distancing ourselves as much as possible and will continue to do this for the next few weeks. ?

If one has traveled: to affected regions, or been around infected individuals, and now has symptoms, yes, testing seems appropriate. Wearing a mask to protect others would be considerate. Call your doctor or local health dept, to find out how to be tested.
