A member asked:

Is annually taken flue vaccine injection helpful against corona virus?

No: The seasonal flu strains are not related to the Covid-19 virus and as such the vaccine would not influence the immunity triggered by the vaccine. Vaccines are sometimes helpful in general if the new virus is a close relative but here it is not.

Influenza vaccine: An influenza vaccine would not protect against a coronavirus. However, please do get your annual influenza vaccine. Flu may be hard to distinguish from COVID during the next flu season. Also - it would not be good to have both the flu and COVID 19 at the same time.
