No: These are viruses from totally different families. No cross over benefit is expected. The flu shot is still a good idea in general but would not be a defense against coronavirus.

No - but: Even though an influenza vaccine is not protective against COVID - 19, it will be important to get vaccine because this fall there could be a mix of COVID 19 & influenza infections.
