Cortisol: It really depends on the allergy itself and your doctor should be contacted for a specific medication. Most of the time if kids end up getting an allergic skin reaction from outdoors, it is usually due to a plant (poison ivy). For these types of minor reactions you can use Hydrocortisone as a topical ointment. Make sure that the there are no cuts on the skin. Again contact your pcp for more info.

Skin and Children: Be safe. Get a doctor to, at the very least, lay eyes on the child to make sure it is not something more insidious. Unless you have a fabulous story of "cause and effect" then the youngster should be evaluated by your pediatrician before just putting a cream on it.
