Hi, i have what feels like a muscle spasm in my lower back. it is extremely sensitive to touch, and it feels like a round ball underneath the skin, about the size of a r5 coin. is it a muscle spasm, or could it be something else?

Likely: This would most likely be muscle. However other causes would include lipoma, fibrous or even abscess.
