A member asked:

If a pregnant woman gets covid-19, will the baby be immune to the disease once born?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly, but : unproven. So far no studies support this, but breast milk could have protective antibodies, giving some passive immunity. Best to try to prevent infection in the newborn if possible, mother wearing mask and good hand washing.
