A member asked:

Could a toothbrush that has been rinsed after brushing your teeth still have the coronavirus alive on it?

Debatable.: Unless you are infected with corona virus, and have active disease, this can happen. But, otherwise you should not be afraid or scared. Do not share your toothbrush with anybody. Before brushing also, rinse it out thoroughly in a running hot water, and after brushing also thoroghly rinse it with hot water. Store it in a clean place.

Yes: But how would it get there? If you're not infected, is another person, who is actively infected, sharing your toothbrush. Rinse toothbrush thoroughly with hot water before and after use. Or immerse bristles in an alcohol-based mouthwash for 5 minutes before and after use, rinsing thoroughly after immersion.

COVID 19: If you are not sharing toothbrushes, this shouldn't be an issues. SARS-CoV-2 ( the COVID 19 virus) can live on porous surfaces for brief periods.
