What could discoloration in lumber spine mri mean? doctors not worried but since my right leg has been extremely sore and tingly.

Mri: MRI measures the spin of hydrogen ions in water. I wonder if the density of that water changes the spin and will change the signal a dehydrated disc and infected disc a tumor all show different spin.

If a doctor was trying to rule out focal dystonia, why would he order a lumbar spine MRI if i said no back or leg pain or numbness or tingling?
