Visit Dr. & Dentist: Unusual sensations or clicking in the jaw, jaw joint (TMJ), or throat area can be examined by one's primary care doctor and dentist. A TMJ dental specialist or an ENT doctor can check things out too. Symptoms are hard to describe in words. The doctors can examine the area to see what might be the cause of the symptoms, such as jaw muscle spasm or TMJ joint malfunction.
