It's a lot of water: Drinking a cup (8oz) of water every hour for 16 hours is a lot. If a person's body is used to this amount of water and has a steady state in her body that maintains proper salt balance, then it might be ok. If a person who doesn't drink much water suddenly decided to drink a lot of water every day, then her salts might be low for a few days until her body gets used to new amount of water intake.
