help please! is drinking a gallon of water a day bad?

Probably OK: A gallon a day is probably more than what you need if you are not exercising vigorously or sweating a lot. However if you are feeling well otherwise, there is no harm done. Be sure that you don't have any health conditions which may cause you to have excessive thirst (diabetes is just one example) and urination.

YES: Yes it is. If you are not addicted to the alcohol you may be habituated. I would see my md and try to cut back the alcohol or seek help to do so.
