No: Sojourn syndrome can make you thirsty. However, I do not think that the amount of water you're drinking has anything to do with your presumed kidney pain. Sojourn in itself should not cause kidney pain.

Sjogrens syndrome: Yes, as sjogrens is associated with dryness of the mouth and eyes. Perhaps you were dehydrated. Did they see any kidney stones.? Medications like motrin-ibuprophen can cause intestinal pain near the kidneys and could be the cause. Depo Provera can have lot of side effects and would try to get off that and use tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain instead of ibuprophen.. Try meditation and yoga for anxiety.
