I feel around my hyoid bone to the sides there is a bump on either side but the left one is more prominent now its been there for 8+ years i just remembered it was there. is the bone bumpy? i have scans due to hashimotos but this has never come up

Hyoid : The hyoid does have bumps on either side and this is very likely what you are feeling. Some degree of asymmetry would be expected.
