To early to tell: Stem cells are cells that can differentiate into specific cells. (become the cells we want). There is obvious interest in this because in sci neurons (cells) within the spinal cord are destroyed. If stem cells can be harnessed to grow into new nerve cells specific to the spinal cord it would be a major breakthrough.

May cure the injury: There is exciting research that by injecting stem cells they could replace the lost spinal cord cells and help you heal from your injury. However this is experimental and I am not sure you can find a doctor who will explain this to you. Perhaps do a web search.
