An enlarged Lymph: node near a spine is never a good sign, as it can signify abnormal growth in the brain or cisterns involving spinal fluid transmission of proteins. It is imperative that you get that checked out, hopefully it is simply a superficial skin infection of some sort and not underlying malignancy. Will need a soft tissue CT of the neck and/or noncontrast head CT.
