Can you have sharp pain in your side from heart burn? i have been having very sharp pains in my left side, under my ribs and also feeling that my throat is full and raw, but not like a sore throat raw. i have gerd and wonder if this is what's wrong.

Dr. or ER can check: Strange left side pains, pain under the front ribs, and odd pains in the throat in a person in her 60's means a trip to the doctor. Sometimes it is an infection that is showing up in an unusual manner. But, having six decades behind her, other things can be happening. The doctor can check the heart, lungs, tummy, etc... to make sure it is not something serious, like a heart problem.
