Tram. is not Tylenol: Tramadol (single ingredient Ultram) is not acetaminophen (plain Tylenol), which means if a person can take acetaminophen without problems, she should be able to take the acetaminophen without regard to when she took the tramadol. However, if she took the 2-ingredient combination (acetaminophen plus tramadol, brand name Ultracet), then taking Extra Strength Tylenol 5-6 hours afterward should be ok.
