Ive been taking oratane 20mg for 2.5weeks. since thursday night have had severe back & hip pain on & off, night chills/sweats, mild diarrhea&muscle aches in my whole body. last dose of oratane friday pm. are these side effects&when will they improve?

Doubtful : These systemic symptoms are more likely from an intestinal viral infection. I advise resting, drink adequate fluids, follow a bland diet with no roughage and take acetaminophen for aching. Such an infection will gradually improve over several days. If not, or if symptoms worsen, discontinue oratane and see your physician.. A dermatologist or your pharmacist can advise you further about Oratane.
