I had an abscess which has no burst, this was the first one i've had since my surgery to drain clean the last one in had 2 years back i believe. i used surgical spirit to clean the surrounding area after the burst, i think that irritated my skin.

Abscess: If this is a recurrent problem, in an area where you had abscess before and recurrent abscess even if draining this should be rechecked.
