Dr. or ER can help: Nosebleeds can be due to many things that cause one of the little veins on the inside of the nose (usually the middle septum) to crack and leak temporarily. Heavy breathing in sports, hot air, cold air, allergies, nose-picking, colds, etc... can cause nosebleeds. He who has a high heart rate OR very low blood pressure OR a severe nosebleed can be checked in the ER (ambulance would be safest).
