I was on 500 mg glucophage for 3 weeks my post glucose drink was 5.8 3 years ago it was 11.8 did the glucophage make difference & is one 500 mg sufficient my overnight fasting sugar was 8.2 before i went onto glucophage my hbaic was 6.5?

Control: For type 2 diabetes your hgbA1c of 6.5 denotes control. Your glucophage dose is low as the typical starting dose is 500 mgs twice a day. If control worsens and not because of dietary mistakes, your physician may increase your dose to twice daily to get you back on track.
