Drink caffeine in morning, had fasting blood tests (no caff) 106 on blood sugar, normally lower. could the lack of caff that morn affect glucose?

Elevated glucose: Caffeine can increase glucose levels. Is your diabetes diet controlled or on medication? It is not uncommon to have some variation in blood glucose (you did not indicate your baseline). Monitor your diet/AM fasting glucose . Over time some diet controlled diabetics need medication and those on meds need readjusting. Also infections can increase glucose.106 is not bad.

Not really: but what you ate the night before could. Meal high in starch, creams, sweets, or if u had a late snack.
