A member asked:

After drinking 1cup of coffee(no sugar,no milk) by 1hr & a half, my glucose level is 300 why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You don't have adequate circulating insulin to keep your blood glucose down. When glucose does not reach/enter the tissues, the body breaks down existing fat/muscle protein or stores from the liver to create more glucose so it goes up. You don't need to consume it for it to go up.
