Hi. my question is about my 9 year old son. he is describing a dull but sharp pain in he's tummy. daughter had previously had appendix removed and he is describing all the symptoms she had.would like to know if i have to see a dr if i want a scan don?

Yes: Best will be to see his pediatrician. If CT scan is positive for appendicitis, a referral will be made to a surgeon.

Depends: Belly pain can be simple or complex, some need surgery & some can wait. Have the kid jump up/down on either leg one at a time. If the discomfort doesn't change you can watch him. If he doubles over with either he need to be seen now.
