Need more history: Is there discomfort with urination? Did she have a catheter inserted during surgery? Is UC active or controlled? Post-op course? Is this actually menstrual blood? Most commonly, blood in urine is related to inflammation of the bladder wall by either chemicals or infection, but can also be related to blood arising from the kidney such as a stone or kidney inflammation/nephritis.
