A member asked:

I've heard there are certain foods i should avoid, for inflammation reasons, is this true? where can i find a complete list? my white cell count stays right around 18,000. my doctor has tested for everything and credits it to stress and inflammation so

18000: I find a wbc of 18,000 concerning and would recommend an evaluation by a hematologist. Foods that cause a spike in blood sugar are thought to provoke inflammatory responses in our bodies. Processed meats, excessive alcohol, transfats, vegetable and seed type oils are felt to produce inflammation also. I am reluctant to attribute your high wbc to any foods.
