Pulsating pain in left and backside of head. feels like one of the veins running in my head is aching. pain is not constant but comes after and goes. it also hurts when i to touch my scalp with my fingers. i don't have any tension or vision issues.

Cervical spine : Is notoriously involved in occipital ( back side of head) pain. Other possibilities cannot be ruled out. Work up will be needed and your doc will be your best reference to initiate it. Circumstances in which pain appears and dissipates away are essential, start by increasing awareness around time of the day, type of activities, etc when there are significant changes in pain level.
