????????: Diarrhea in a 6 wk old is rarely if ever a reason for antibiotics nor is the flu. Antiviral medication for flu is rarely used outside of a hospital setting. Diarrhea from any cause rarely stops quickly. The post is confusing at best as is the treatment.

Monitor : Monitor for fever and dehydration. If the baby has a temperature of 100.5 F or higher, a hospital visit is indicated at this age. Continue feeds, use nasal saline for congestion. If the baby is having fewer wet diapers or difficulty feeding, please see a physician right away. Viral diarrhea may last for two weeks, and it is important to keep the baby hydrated.
