This question is for the physicians. do any of you have pvcs or pacs and if so how do you cope? do you worry about the ectopic beats ? or bcuz of your medical knowledge do you understand theyre benign? i have difficulty accepting i have pacs/pvcs.

Heartbeat ?'s: Premature ventricular or atrial contractions are generally benign, and can occur from normal conduction irregularities. See a cardiologist for a diagnostic EKG or possibly a Holter counter to make certain there is no adverse reason for the occurrences.

Testing of your: condition, and medications if needed, can be reassuring. EKG, echocardiogram, and 72 hr heart monitoring can be informative. This is how I am reassured, as to the normality of the condition, or become aware of any needed treatment. If further testing is needed, trans-esophageal ekg, cardiac stress testing, CT imaging, or cardiac cath can be appropriate.
