What does it mean when a pap comes back saying cellular changes associated with inflammation are present ? chlamydia, gon & hpv negative.

Pap inflammation: Pap smears often show inflammation. The cause usually isn't clear -- little research has been done. However, STDs probably are rare. For sure it's not HPV, which doesn't cause inflammation. If you're at risk for STD, you need testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia; the pap smear doesn't help diagnose them at all.

Agree with Dr. H: Follow your doctor's advise regarding repeat PAP tests at intervals recommended by your doctor. Get HPV vaccine.
