Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may watch and wait. If the bump more than doubles in size, ulerates, bleeds, other bumps develop, you get fever of lose weight,it would be prudent to see your doctor. Lymph node?: Among other possibilities a mechanically irritated occipital lymph node is possible and providing location confirmed. Other possibilities cannot be excluded. Your PCP may be able to palpate and provide further recommendations, based on actual exam and history.
