Not necessarily, but: Hiv/aids is not necessarily always associated with homosexuals. In africa, the rates of infection are more 50/50 in men and women. In the us, it just happened that the epidemic first became known in the gay population, however, it was also seen in hemophiliacs, injection drug users, and people from haiti early on. In the south, there are now newer infections spreading via heterosexual sex.
