A member asked:

Upon receiving my blood test results for a complete metabolic panel, my alkaline phosphatase showed low at 31, with the normal range being 33-115. should this be a cause for concern?

All context: It is all in the context of having tests done as well as trend, if previous values available. There are few medical conditions in which alkaline phosphates may be found low, but most commonly in clinic an elevated alkaline phosphatase is concerning. Talk to your ordering physician about your concerns.
