A member asked:

I had an xray of my lumbar. it stated minimal spurring of compression deformity. then at the bottom said no acute bony abnormality. what does all this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chronic Changes: When an X-ray is read, a Radiologist reviews the images to look for anything abnormal. It sounds as if the Radiologist did not see any ACUTE abnormality. This means that the bony abnormalities seen (minimal spurring/compression deformity) were felt to not be new. Have you ever had a back injury? You should ask whoever ordered the X-ray to personally review the results with you.
