A member asked:

Can adapalene applied to face cause seborreic dermatitis on the scalp -- meaning a reaction other than at the application site?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seborrheic dermatiti: The antiacne product, adapalene, applied to your face isn't the cause of seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp or dandruff. The cause of seborrheic dermatitis is unknown although hormonal changes or genetics may play a role.
