A member asked:

My heart rate is very high. it varies between 80 to 120 when im not exercising and up to 210 when im exercising. is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Abnormal: Consult a cardiologist for evaluation. Appropriate testing will be done. . A resting heart rate of 120 can be caused by fever, overactive thyroid, medications, excess alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, anxiety but also cardiac disease. A heart rate of 220, if accurate, while exercising is also concerning.
